Over 40 singers and players turned up for this event, in the middle of the holiday season. The core of the group was Bruce Randall's Boston based West Gallery Choir, but there were also attendees from elsewhere, including some new to West Gallery music. All the music was new to the group. The balance needed some work to begin with, but eventually the instrumentalists and bass singers were persuaded not to drown all the others, and we sang our way through the ten items below. Three compositions by Thomas Clark (1775-1859) had been chosen to mark the sesquicentenary. The six part Sing to the Lord Jehovah's Name had been purposely chosen to challenge the group, and they rose to the occasion magnificently. Advance copies of London Gallery Quire's anthology Your Voices Raise were on sale and sold out quickly. Click on S to view and hear the music from a Sibelius Scorch file. You may need to download the ActiveX Scorch plug-in for your web browser to view and hear the music; just follow the on-screen instructions. Some people need to restart their browser to make the plug-in work. Use the CD controls as you would expect. The black arrows to their left scroll through the pages.
